April 2022 Update

I'd like to welcome Haikyuu to my list of favored anime series.  I binge-watched it a couple of months ago and it was very good; definitely right up my alley.  It seems the manga is finished, but I enjoyed the anime version enough that I think I'll just wait for the next installment of that.

Apologies for not updating in a while.  I've been having a tough time trying to figure out what exactly to say, but I'll do my best.  The last thing I want to do is leave everyone hanging.

Obviously, all that talk of getting some writing done towards the end of last year didn't quite pan out.  I am so incredibly indecisive with what I want to do these days.  One week I'm super interested in something, the next week I'm all cooled off on it and thinking about something else.  It's just one of a lot of things I've been fighting against lately.  Others include my own mental approach to things and a fear of not being able to finish what I start, which is very silly considering that if I'm afraid of not being able to finish things then I'll never actually start anything either, as evidenced by this entire past year.

Yeah, it's frustrating.  For me, finishing "A Midsummer Night's Beauty" was always the grand goal I wanted to achieve, and I did that.  I always thought I'd find that same passion or an even greater one for another project afterward, but three years later I'm still trying to find it.

I don't know what comes next, but for right now I'm going to take an indefinite break from posting these news updates here.  There was definitely a purpose to them back when "A Midsummer Night's Beauty" was in full swing, but nowadays all I seem to do with them is put added pressure on myself, and that is definitely not helpful.  And as I mentioned earlier, we're approaching a full year since I've published anything, again, and typing up these updates with nothing to offer doesn't leave me with the greatest feeling.

I'll keep working through this, and when or if I finish something new I'll be here to post about it.  Until then, thanks for reading, as always.  'Til next time.
