Into October We Go

Furuya is down!  I repeat, Furuya is down!  Haven't seen much in the way of injuries in Ace of Diamond so far, other than Chris anyway.  Now it really is Sawamura's time to shine.

In fanfic news, we're a couple weeks removed from the release of the new "Capture the Heart" extra chapter.  Was nice to see some of the old readers still around to check out that little bit of closure.  Not sure what the future holds for this story at the moment.  Like I said last time, I don't plan on calling it officially done yet as there really isn't any reason to, but I will say this: most ideas I have for future chapters involve Jenny and Cynthia at this point, and if I do choose to explore those characters some more, I may split the story off into a new spinoff story where they're the main characters.  I don't want readers who are around primarily for Dawn and J to get annoyed that there's only Jenny and Cynthia stuff happening, hence my reasoning for that.  But again, we'll see.  Nothing is concrete right now and there's lots of time for me to think about this.

As for the current writing project, I've been making some preparations for this new Ranma 1/2 one-shot of mine.  Watched some old Ranma episodes this week for the first time in a long time, just to remind myself what I'm working with.  I'm gonna have to be clever with this one, that's for sure.  Got some thinkin' to do.  Figuring out the tricky things is part of the fun, though.

That one-shot is the last of the definite things in my queue, so I'll have to figure out what I want to do next once that's done.  There's ideas for Ranma, Pokemon, and various other things floating about.  One idea in particular is something I've thought about jokingly for years, like, "if I can't figure anything else out, I could always do THIS."  But I've actually been thinking about it more seriously over the past month, enough so that I've been writing down ideas for it in my notebook.  I don't want to say what it is because it'll mean nothing if I end up losing all interest in a month or two, but I'll just say it would be hilarious if this idea ends up being what I go with.  You'll know what I mean if it happens.

Back in March when I finished "A Midsummer Night's Beauty", I mentioned that I had a bunch of games sitting around that I'd been putting off playing.  Just finished Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild this past week.  That game was very good, very fun, but admittedly very exhausting.  There is so much to do in that game, and boy was I ready for a break by the end.  I still have a lot of shrines to find, but I'll save that for another time of boredom.  Also finished Pokemon Let's Go Eevee and a second playthrough of Va-11 Hall-A over the summer.  I think CrossCode is going to be next for me.  Bought it on a whim almost a year ago because it looked and sounded like something right up my alley, but haven't had the time for it until now.  I'll have to take another shot at playing Persona 3 sometime, too.

As far as anime and anime-type things go, the next season of Shokugeki no Soma is coming up soon.  I am very unsure how much longer I'm going to watch the anime of that series knowing how godawful the manga ending was, but I'll give this season a chance for now.  I also want to give RWBY a try.  I've been seeing it pop up while looking for other things for years and it seems like something that might match my interests.  It also appears to be free to watch on YouTube, so nothing to lose I suppose.

Okay, that's all I got for now.  The planning for my new Ranma one-shot will begin shortly, so I'll probably be back next once that's finished.  Thanks for reading, as always.  'Til next time.
